Cupping is a treatment method that uses ceramic cups which create infrared heat energy when placed on affected area. Cupping method promotes smooth circulation of Qi and blood in the areas to relieve pain, expel toxins and coldness, and to cleanse the blood.



This practice dates from as early as 3000 B.C.; the earliest record of cupping is in the Ebers Papyrus, one of the oldest medical textbooks in the world, it describes that in 1550 B.C. Egyptians used cupping. Archaeologists have found evidence in China of cupping dating back to 1000 B.C. In ancient Greece, Hippocrates used cupping for internal disease and structural problems.
